Wadi Rum (Valley of the Moon) is a vast protected desert wilderness in southern Jordan, covering 720 square kilometers of dramatic sandstone and granite mountains, towering cliffs, and rust-red sand dunes. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011.
