Sittwe

Sittwe is the capital of Rakhine State, standing where the tidal Kaladan River empties into the Bay of Bengal on Myanmar's far western coast. It is a low, flat, salt-air port town of fishing fleets, mosques and pagodas, faded British colonial mansions and one of the best fish markets in the country.
