Shymkent

Shymkent is Kazakhstan's third-largest city and its main southern hub, located near the Uzbek border. One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Central Asia (~2,200 years), it was a significant Silk Road trading hub where routes from China to Europe passed through.
