Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in a valley ringed by the Dinaric Alps. Known as 'the Jerusalem of Europe' for its unique coexistence of Ottoman mosques, Catholic and Orthodox churches, and synagogues within a few hundred metres.
