São Filipe

São Filipe is the capital of Fogo — Fire Island — and one of the most beautiful towns in Cape Verde: a colonial hill town of roughly 22,000 people perched on a bluff above a black sand coast on the island's west side, looking out to the small island of Brava across the water.
