Ruteng

Ruteng is a highland town on the island of Flores, sitting at ~1,200m altitude in a valley surrounded by forested volcanic mountains. Located on the Trans-Flores Highway between Labuan Bajo (west, 5 hours) and Bajawa (east, 4-5 hours), it is the capital of Manggarai Regency.
