Rishikesh

Rishikesh sits at 356m altitude where the Ganges leaves the Himalayan foothills, 24km north of Haridwar. Known as the 'Yoga Capital of the World,' it's a sacred Hindu city of ashrams, yoga schools, and Ganga temples. The Beatles famously stayed here in 1968.
