Paro
Paro is the cultural heartland of Bhutan and home to the kingdom's only international airport. Sitting at 2,200m in a wide, fertile valley bisected by the Paro Chhu river, the town is ringed by monasteries, dzongs (fortress-monasteries) and forested hills.
