Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya (pronounced 'Noo-relia') is Sri Lanka's highest city, sitting at nearly 2,000 metres above sea level in the central highlands. Known as 'Little England' for its cool climate, Victorian architecture, British-era colonial buildings, and manicured gardens transplanted from the empire.
