Municipality of Piraeus

Piraeus is the great port of Athens, sitting about 12 km south-west of the city centre on a peninsula jutting into the Saronic Gulf. It is the busiest passenger port in Europe and the gateway to the Greek islands, and most travellers pass through it in a hurry on their way to a ferry.
