Moçâmedes

Moçâmedes is the capital of Namibe province on Angola's southwestern coast, the point where the Namib Desert runs straight into the cold Atlantic. It was renamed Namibe in 1985 and both names are still used, with the city commonly called Namibe City and the province Namibe.
