Mataram

Mataram is the capital city of Lombok Island and West Nusa Tenggara Province, located on the western coast of Lombok about 1 hour east of Lombok International Airport. It is a sprawling, multi-village city with a predominantly Sasak Muslim population and remnants of a rich Hindu heritage.
