Makeni

Makeni is the capital of Sierra Leone's Northern Province and the country's fifth-largest city, 137 km northeast of Freetown on the Magburaka road. It sits in Temne country amid savannah grassland and cotton trees, with the Wusum hills rising about 900 feet directly behind town.
