Luxor
Often called the world's greatest open-air museum, Luxor sits on the Nile in Upper Egypt and contains the ancient city of Thebes. Divided by the Nile into the East Bank (Land of the Living — temples, modern city, hotels) and the West Bank (Land of the Dead — royal tombs, mortuary temples).
