Kozhikode
Kozhikode (historically Calicut) is a prosperous coastal city in northern Kerala, 225 km north of Kochi, and one of Asia's most historically significant trading ports. Vasco da Gama landed at Kozhikode on 20 May 1498 — the first direct European sea link to India.
