Kashgar

Kashgar (Kashi) is an oasis city in China's westernmost Xinjiang region, closer to Baghdad than Beijing. One of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, it was a vital crossroads on the ancient Silk Road where Chinese, Persian, Indian, and Russian trade routes converged.
