Kandahar

Kandahar is Afghanistan's second-largest city, capital of Kandahar Province in the arid south, and the spiritual capital of the Pashtun world. Settlements here go back more than two and a half thousand years, and in 1747 Ahmad Shah Durrani made it the first capital of the modern Afghan state.
