Jodhpur

Jodhpur, Rajasthan's second-largest city, is known as the Blue City for the indigo-painted houses clustered around the base of its massive hilltop fort. Founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha of the Rathore clan, it was the capital of the medieval kingdom of Marwar.
