Hulhumale

Hulhumale is an entirely artificial island built over a shallow lagoon adjacent to the Maldivian capital Male, connected by the Sinamalé Bridge (China-Maldives Friendship Bridge) opened in 2018. Construction began in 1997 to relieve Male's extreme population density.
