The Cotswolds is a rolling limestone upland in south-central England, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (now National Landscape) in 1966 and covering roughly 790 square miles across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Somerset.
