Cherrapunji

Cherrapunji (officially renamed 'Sohra' by the state government, though Cherrapunji remains the common name) is a small town in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, India, at 1,260 metres altitude, approximately 54 km southwest of Shillong.
