Castellammare del Golfo

Castellammare del Golfo is a fishing and holiday town on the northwest coast of Sicily, in the province of Trapani, spilling down a hillside to a horseshoe harbour guarded by an Arab-Norman castle on a rocky promontory. The name means roughly 'sea fortress on the gulf'.
