Bastia
Bastia is Corsica's northern capital and the island's second largest city, founded by the Genoese in 1378 on the northeast coast. It is a busy passenger ferry port and commercial hub with a rich Baroque heritage, a nostalgic old port (Vieux Port), and an imposing meticulously restored citadel.
