Assisi

Assisi is a hilltop medieval town in Umbria, central Italy, draped along the western slope of Monte Subasio above the Spoleto valley. It is the birthplace of Saint Francis and Saint Clare, and its Franciscan sites plus the Basilica of San Francesco are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
