Arequipa

Arequipa is southern Peru's colonial 'White City', sitting at roughly 2,300-2,335 metres above sea level with volcanoes on the skyline. Its heart is the Plaza de Armas, ringed by colonial white pillar-stone buildings built from sillar, the local volcanic rock.
