Aomori

Aomori sits at the northern tip of Japan's main island of Honshu, in the Tohoku region, surrounded by ocean on three sides and split into two large peninsulas, Tsugaru and Shimokita. The prefecture is roughly 4.5 times the size of Tokyo, so distances between sights are long.
