Alleppey

Alleppey (official name: Alappuzha) is Kerala's backwater capital, known as 'the Venice of the East'. It is the gateway to the Kuttanad backwaters — over 900 km of canals forming a network of lagoons, lakes, rivers, and inlets through paddy fields and coconut groves in the heart of Kerala.
